Sparkzflyin10/10VTOL VR is a mil-sim like aviation game for VR headsets (required) that is arguably one of the better blends of realism and fun, meaning it's no DCS but it also isn't as simple as something like an Ace Combat. mod support is there and alive and (fun fact) the same 1 person that created all the BD Amory mods for Kerbal Space Program also made this game and you can definitely tell from the attention to detail.
For the most part this is a open world-like game with the ability to explore, the VR movements are all super intuitive and just make sense and work for the most part and there's tons of mod and developer support to accomplish pretty much whatever you want.
While there are pre-built "story" missions in the game, they are definitely more so of a training and tutorial tool rather than story building, most in game content comes from the steam workshop as playable missions or from live servers serving the same purpose so i wouldn't get this game if you're looking for a narrative masterpiece.
The design is very (once again) intuitive and just makes sense, the games tracking of movements is pretty good and being able to reset the playable area in the game definitely helps. realistic clouds, cockpits (to an extent) and plane dynamics in general are all very very good.
