Road To Empress

This was such a fun experience! Navigating life in the harem as a consort during the Tang Dynasty made for a really engaging premise. While it’s loosely inspired by Empress Wu Zetian, the story takes its own path, leaning into drama in a way that keeps things entertaining. Trying to unlock all the different endings (many of them leading to death, but some surprisingly funny) was a highlight. There are romance options, though this first game feels more like it’s laying the groundwork, setting things up for deeper relationships later on. I’m can't wait for the second game.
