This game offers some genuinely interesting concepts. The story is engaging, and visually it’s very beautiful! Especially when the game starts experimenting with split-screen mechanics and the two different genres. I don’t usually enjoy games that rely heavily on precise jumping and timing, but there was only one section that gave me real trouble. Even then, the frequent checkpoints keep it from becoming too frustrating, since you’re rarely forced to replay large portions. If your partner clears a difficult section, your character respawns nearby, which keeps the pacing smooth. It took me a little while to warm up to the main characters, but overall, I really enjoyed the experience and ended up completing around 18 hours of content in just a few days.
